Not bad for a day’s work!! Second place went to team of Rodney McIntosh & Mike Taylor with 14.74 for $1,500, 3rd was Cole Smith & Brad Hall with 14.27 for $1,000, 4th was our 8th Annual Fishn’ for Missions winners Paul & Mike Stringer with 13.44 for $750 and rounding out the top 5 was Mark Weston & Scott McQeary with 13.03 for $650. The top Ranger Cup finisher went to the 9th place team of John Green & Billy Osborne with 12.50 for $525 plus $500 for Ranger Cup for a total of $1,025 (It pays to own a Ranger Boat and to be Ranger Cup Qualified!!)! Big Fish of the day went to the team of Rusty & Colton Smith with a 5.09 Largemouth. We paid a total of 28 places and it took 8.47 to get back into the money. “Thank You!!” to all that came out and fished with us!! Fishers of Men

joneswalker

Congrats to Team Pittsburg Marine Fisherman Jack Jones and partner Mike Walker for winning the season opener for the West Ky Division of Fishers of Men at Barren River Saturday, March 18, 2017  with a winning weight of 20.26lbs. Jones and Walker caught their fish using D&L jigs and Strike King Series 6 crankbaits. They fished on the main lake in transition areas between bluffs and chunk rock banks to catch their winning weight. Their stringer also included a 5.54 pound big bass which was the lunker of the day. Including their win in the Bonus Bucks, they earned $1,873. Coming in second on the day was Team Pittsburg Marine Fisherman Richard Bowling and partner Jarrod Simpson. Richard and Jarrod landed 15.10 pounds of bass using jigs and green pumpkin mag finesse worms on a shaky head.  Fishing a 25 yard stretch of main lake bank, they patiently landed a strong limit.  Their patience was rewarded with  $584.00.  Then talking about more “Blind Hogs & Acorns” Team Pittsburg Marine’s Rick Brammer and Jim Oliver finished thrid.  Rick and Jimmy stayed on the main lake as well and managed just three fish – but they weighed in at 14.12 lbs. Two of their fish came on a spinnerbait and the third was captured on a deep diving Spro crankbait.  They earned $420.00 on the day. Another good start for Team Pittsburg Marine!! Hang in there Uncle Moe!!! #GodBlessAndGoodFishin‘
